October 2012 Men's Serve Cancelled

Greetings, Lovely Breakthrough blog readers -
Just a quick note to let everyone know we won't be able to lead the men's serve for Thursday, October 11th. However, we should be back in fine style for the November meal - Thursday, November 8th. (Pending the newest Baby Bratchie's arrival, of course). I'll remind everyone in the October monthly email, but wanted to send a quick note to the loyal blog readers first.

MEALS

Outside of our Breakthrough Serving Group opportunity, we serve dinner at the women's facility on the third Friday of each month. You can join us when you're able for these meals. Below are specific dates for some upcoming serving opportunities.

NOTE - THERE WILL BE NO OCTOBER MEAL SERVE. Instead, please join us at Breakthrough's Annual Benefit

Friday, November 21st @ the Women's Facility (3330 W. Carroll Ave., Chicago)

TOURS
Breakthrough Urban Ministries is so much more than just a meal serving opportunity. They have ways to get involved for anyone - from the fresh market to the kids' programs to homeless intervention. To learn more about the many ways that Breakthrough is reaching out to folks living on the west side of Chicago, make sure you get to one of their Behind the Scenes Tours.

Tours take place in the evening (6:15 pm start) on the first Monday of every month.
